Scenario
#1: I forget the password, but I know my username and email used in school login
Go to school web site, in the "school login" module, click "forget password" and flow the process. For security reason, we use one of the standard "forget password" procedure. You will receive one email first, for confirm your email address is correct. And then you will receive another email, which contains the password. The system does not send the username together with the password.

#2: You forget BOTH the username and password
For security reason, the system is set so that username is not given in the reply on "forget password" request. If you can not rememer both of them, then give up, and simply give school a call or email.


Trouble Shooting
#1: I send password reset request, but received no email at all
First I assume your email address should be correct.
We currently use Google Email server as the proxy to send emails. Their service is very stable and very less chance to be blocked. So in most case, please check if you have the school email in spam box. If the school email is there, please move it to inbox, and put school email address into your contact list.
For temparaty solution, you can always call the school and we can help reset the password.

#2: I recevied the new password, and I am sure the username is correct, but when I login, I am told the password is in-correct.
(1/21/2010): This might be a software bug which will be fixed soon.
When parents do online account register, our system check and make sure the same email address is not a duplicated one. Under the student account, the email is an option. But sometimes the parent simply put their own email address in. So in this situation, there are two accounts in our system that use same email address. So one email address is given for pasword reset request, system could reset the password of student account other than parent account.
This bug will be fixed. But as an workaround. If you have this issue, please call the school, we will help reset you password. Also, please do not assign same email address for your kids.
